About ToolOrbit

A growing collection of free, privacy-minded utilities that run in your browser

What ToolOrbit is

ToolOrbit is a free web platform of small, focused utilities — formatters, converters, generators, and similar tools for everyday work. You open a utility in your browser, use it, and move on. There is no account wall and no software to install.

ToolOrbit is an independent product project. We do not invent a corporate backstory: the site exists to make useful tools easy to find and safe to try.

Why it exists

Many common tasks — formatting JSON, counting words, generating a password, resizing an image — should not require signing up, uploading sensitive files to an unknown server, or installing a desktop app for a one-off job.

ToolOrbit exists to reduce that friction: open the page, run the utility, keep your data local whenever the tool design allows.

Privacy-first and browser-based

Live utilities on ToolOrbit are built to process inputs in your browser whenever practical. That means text, files, and previews for those tools typically never leave your device.

If a future utility needs server-side processing, we will say so clearly on that utility's page. Our Privacy Policy describes site analytics, cookies, and any advertising or measurement tools we may use.

How we work

Free to use — no sign-up required

Browser-based — most work stays on your device

Privacy-first — we do not store the files you process in client-side tools

Honest scope — we mark unfinished utilities as coming soon

Practical focus — everyday developer, text, and image workflows

Dark and light mode for comfortable use

Current scope

Today ToolOrbit ships 13 live utilities you can use immediately — including JSON and text tools, password and UUID generators, encoding helpers, hashing, regex testing, QR codes, and image utilities.

Some category listings still show utilities marked Coming soon. Those pages are placeholders for planned work. They are not available yet and should not be treated as working products.

Roadmap

We plan to keep improving existing utilities, finish selected coming-soon tools when they meet our quality bar, and add clear documentation as the catalog grows. Timelines depend on careful testing — we will not promise launch dates we cannot keep.

Suggestions are welcome via the contact page. Feedback on accuracy, accessibility, and missing workflows helps us prioritize what to build next.
