About QR Code Decoder
Read QR codes from image files on your device. Upload JPG, PNG, or WebP (up to 20 MB); ToolsArk decodes the first detectable code with jsQR and shows the text plus a simple type hint (URL, Wi‑Fi, and similar).
How to use
- Upload or drop a QR image (JPG, PNG, or WebP, max 20 MB).
- Click Decode to extract the payload.
- For http(s) URLs, use Open link. Copy the text or download qr-decoded.txt.
What you get
- Decoding is image-based only — there is no live camera scanner in this version.
- When several codes appear in one image, only the first code the library finds is returned.
- Open link applies to http and https URLs; other schemes stay as plain text for you to handle safely.

- Recover a URL or Wi‑Fi string from a screenshot or photo.
- Verify what a printed code encodes before sharing it.

Tips
- Crop to a single, square code with good contrast and minimal blur.
- Avoid heavy compression or extreme angles; re-shoot or re-export if decoding fails.
- Treat decoded links like any unknown URL — confirm the destination before opening.
Limitations
Low contrast, damage, glare, or unsupported image decoding can prevent a read. Multi-code images require cropping to target one code.
Privacy
Images are processed in your browser. ToolsArk does not upload files to a remote scanning service.

Why did decoding fail?
Blur, low contrast, heavy compression, unusual angles, or unsupported image decoding can prevent a read. Try a sharper, well-lit crop. Open Link only works for http(s) URLs — other schemes are shown as text.
