Image Resizer

Image Resizer changes the pixel dimensions of JPG, PNG, or WebP images in your browser. You can set exact width and height, scale by percentage from 1% to 400%, or apply common social and media presets, then download in the same format as the original.

Files up to 20 MB are supported. Aspect ratio can be locked so changing one dimension updates the other proportionally. The tool redraws through canvas and re-encodes (about quality 92 for lossy formats), so file size and fine detail may change even when you only adjust dimensions slightly.

1. Upload a JPG, PNG, or WebP image within the 20 MB limit.
2. Choose Exact to enter target width and height in pixels, or Percentage to scale relative to the original size (1–400%).
3. Set dimensions, percentage, or pick a preset (for example common social or video thumbnail sizes); adjust width and height afterward if needed. Toggle aspect lock when you want proportional scaling.
4. Click Resize to generate the new image and review the preview.
5. Download the result or Clear to upload a different file.

Exact mode uses pixel width and/or height. With aspect lock off, both values are applied as entered, which can stretch the image. With aspect lock on and only one side set, the other side is derived from the source ratio. With lock on and both width and height set (including many presets), ToolsArk fits the image inside that box while preserving aspect ratio—so the output may be smaller than the typed width × height on one side.

Percentage mode multiplies both dimensions by your chosen factor. Values below 100% shrink; above 100% enlarge, which cannot invent detail and may look soft. Presets fill the width and height fields; with aspect lock on, treat them as a maximum frame rather than a guarantee of exact WxH output.

• Fit a photo to platform requirements (profile banners, post sizes) using presets or exact pixels.
• Create thumbnails by scaling to a percentage or small exact size.
• Downscale oversized camera exports before sharing or compressing elsewhere.

• Prefer shrinking over enlarging when quality matters; upscaling only interpolates existing pixels.
• Lock aspect ratio unless you intentionally need a different shape.
• This tool keeps the original format; use Image Converter if you need JPG, PNG, WebP, or BMP output instead.

Resizing uses canvas drawing in your browser. Your image is not uploaded to ToolsArk servers for processing.

The resized file is built in memory and offered as a download; nothing is stored on ToolsArk after you leave the page.
