Image Tools

Image Tools handles common photo and graphic prep work in the browser: reducing file size, changing dimensions, and converting formats. The live set is Image Compressor, Image Resizer, and Image Converter — all canvas-based, with previews where the tool provides them.

Useful when you need a smaller upload for a CMS, a social-sized crop target, or a different format without opening a desktop editor for a single file.

• Image Compressor — keep (or lightly change) format while lowering size via quality and optional max width/height; best when the pixel size is mostly fine but the bytes are not.
• Image Resizer — change exact pixels, scale by percentage, or apply presets; output stays in the original format. Use this when dimensions are the main requirement.
• Image Converter — change format (e.g. PNG→JPG, WebP↔PNG, or decode BMP/GIF/TIFF when the browser supports it). Use this when the portal requires a specific type.
• Need both smaller bytes and a new format? Convert (or compress with format switch) after you know the required type. Need PDF packaging instead? Use PDF Tools after you have the image you want.

• Shrink a phone photo so it meets a 2 MB job-application upload limit.
• Resize a logo or banner to a required pixel width before publishing.
• Convert a PNG with transparency to JPG when a form rejects transparent images.
• Turn a decoded TIFF or BMP into PNG or JPG for everyday sharing.

Compression, resizing, and conversion decode and re-encode images locally with your browser’s canvas APIs. ToolsArk does not upload your image to a server for these operations.

Previews and output blobs stay in the browser session until you download or clear the tool. Individual tool pages spell out format-specific behavior (for example, transparency filled with white on JPG).

• Typical input ceiling is 20 MB per image.
• Compressor and Resizer accept JPG, PNG, and WebP; Converter also attempts BMP, GIF, and TIFF when the browser can decode them.
• Output formats depend on browser encoding support — WebP, PNG, or BMP export may be unavailable on older browsers.
• GIF animation is not preserved when converting to a static format; very large canvases can hit browser memory or dimension safety limits.

• If Compressor rejects a TIFF or BMP, convert to PNG or JPG first, then compress.
• Lock aspect ratio in Resizer unless you intentionally need a stretched result.
